Possibly a very rare opportunity, I've just come across this ad on 'good old' EBay and thought that it may be of interest to someone;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/scammell-s24-/150589871825?pt=UK_Commercial_Trucks&hash=item230fdb16d1

How I wish I had a healthier bank balance!!!

Hi Clive

Do you think we're gonna see the green s24 out and about or do you think it will get put away and never to be seen again? You know me,i love s24s and it would be a shame to not get to have a good look over it and get to know some of its history.

regards

Hi Ian.

She will defernatly be out and about at shows. she needs a little bit of TLC but the guy who has her will give her plenty of that.

I will let you know if she is going to attened any shows this season. but i think she will do at least one around september. I will leave it to the member to post some pic's of her.

Regards.

Very nice Nigel.

This is also my love from the mighty scammell range. A very under publisized and underated  model

from this iconic manufacturer.

I've allready started the list of parts from the photos. but i can't wait to she her in the flesh and

have a good look around her. I'm glad she has made her way home to the town were she was built and look forward to seeing her at some of the shows this year.

Thanks for posting

Well, for what it's worth, I think she'd look fantastic in lemon chrome, white roof and black chassis. Yes, as the S24 appeared in the NEC show all those years ago!! Well done on giving her a good home.

Thanks Len!! I think you will find that was a Chocolate brown chassis!!

The idea is to bring her back to "Show Spec".... Whether it comes to fruition is another matter entirely.

Lots of parts to find first so keep your ear to the ground for anything S24 related....

Catch up soon I hope

Oops, I sit corrected!!!

Mind you it was a few years ago now....... In fact that may have been the show where the Seddon Atkies had been painted,,, ahem, shall we say, rather roughly? Show jobs? I could've done better in my front garden!!!!

She looks much better with that extra axle removed too!

Hi Len.

Your not going mad. there was a Scammell S24 Yellow, black chassis and white roof at the NEC commercial vehicle show at the same time as the S24 sleeper pod vehicle. When i get a min i will upload a photo for you. just to prove you are not going mad, and that the memory is still working fine.

All the best
